Wencan Mao (wencan_mao@nii.ac.jp) is a post-doctoral researcher at the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Tokyo, Japan. She received her D.Sc. degree in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering, from Aalto University, Espoo, Finland, in 2023, her M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, from Aalto University, Espoo, Finland, in 2019, and her B.E. degree in Vehicle Engineering, from Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2017. She has been an active researcher, publishing high-quality scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings. She is also a facilitator of international collaborations between Asian and Nordic universities. Her research interests include edge computing, reinforcement learning, smart and sustainable cities, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and the Internet of Things.
